After you have gained a thorough understanding of your competitors marketing techniques and have analyzed their strengths and weaknesses, you have to do that same objective analysis to your business within its market. If you cannot be honest about the pros and cons of your business program, hire someone else who can. The success of your marketing program will hinge on your ability to be honest with yourself about its strengths and weaknesses.
Once you have a thorough list of the pros and cons of you and your competitions promotion program, identify your competitions weaknesses and determine whether you can exploit that. You will need to utilize every area of marketing communications to gain an advantage but if you have found a crack in their foundation then all through winter you need to filling their basement with water. Use that weakness you have found and confidently announce throughout the social media platforms your message and use your marketing program to separate yourself from the weakness you have discovered in your completion. Let your customer base know.
